Charges in robbery of man cleaning out van in Roosevelt
The victim was cleaning out his minivan, police said.
Terrell Broyles and an accomplice approached him, displayed a shotgun and stole the man's wallet, before taking off on bicycles, police said.
The robbery took place early Sunday morning in Roosevelt. Late Tuesday, Nassau County police arrested Broyles, 20, of East Pennywood Avenue, Roosevelt, charging him with first- and second-degree robbery. He is scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
Police said they are still searching for the accomplice.
The robbery took place at about 12:50 a.m. Sunday on Debevoise Avenue, police said.
Police did not say how much money was taken.
