Closed for sinkhole, East Meadow road reopens

North Jerusalem Avenue in East Meadow was closed for nearly an hour Tuesday morning because of a large sinkhole, Nassau County police said.

The roadway was closed at Ennabrock Road in both directions, a police spokesman said, after the department received a call at 7:55 a.m.
