Code agent assaulted over parking ticket
Nassau police arrested a Hewlett man for assaulting a village code enforcement agent in Great Neck Plaza on Saturday afternoon.
Fabian Lenis, 43, angry over a parking ticket he had received at about 1:55 p.m., pushed the 70-year-old agent, causing the agent to fall and hit his head on a curb, police said.
The agent was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for injuries to his head, back, hand and knee.
His electronic ticket writer also was damaged during the assault, police said.
Lenis was charged with two counts of second-degree assault and one count of second-degree criminal mischief. He was scheduled to be arraigned on Sunday in First District Court in Hempstead.
