Construction worker falls at plant

A construction worker fell off the roof of a water treatment plant in Old Bethpage Tuesday afternoon, Nassau police said.

The man, whose name was not released but who is in his 50s, was working at the plant on Haypath and Round Swamp Road, police said. The fall happened at 2:50 p.m.

The victim was airlifted to Nassau University Medical Center, police said.

The extent of his injuries are not known, police said. The cause of his fall was also not immediately available, police said.
