Nassau County police were searching Sunday for a person who struck twin sisters walking along Arrandale Road in Great Neck.

The 54-year-old women were walking north on Arrandale Road about 6:20 p.m. Thursday when a vehicle heading west drove into them and kept driving, police said.

Both were taken to a hospital: one with non-life threatening injuries, the other was listed Thursday in critical condition with head trauma and internal injuries, police said. Authorities didn't have an update on their conditions Sunday.

Officers didn't release any information on the car that struck them. Anyone with details is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
