Cop rescues 2 from Massapequa house fire

Two women were rescued from a house fire in North Massapequa on Saturday morning, Nassau County Police said.

Nassau Police responded to a house fire on Hicksville Road on Saturday morning at about 9:22 a.m., officials said.

The responding officer was told  two women, ages 73 and 50, were trapped inside the home. Police pulled the two women to safety. No one was injured.

Police said the fire was not suspicious.
