Cops: 1 critical as two men shot in New Cassel
Two men in New Cassel were shot and wounded, one critically, early Monday morning, Nassau police said.
A 21-year-old and a 24-year-old were in the vicinity of Third Street and Brush Hollow Road about 12:44 a.m. when the shooting took place, police said. Both men were taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow.
The 21-year-old, who was shot in the arm, leg and chest, was admitted to the hospital in critical condition, police said. The 24-year-old was treated for a gunshot wound to the leg, and was released.
Detectives asked anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
