Cops: 2 charged in credit card forgery

Two men face forgery charges after one of them used a re-encoded credit card to make a purchase Thursday at a Target store in Valley Stream, Nassau County police said.
Quadri Oki, 23, of Lilburn, Ga., and Peter Heurtelou, 28, of 1056 Wood Park Dr., Baldwin, were arrested without incident at the store at 500 W. Sunrise Hwy. at about 6:30 p.m., police said.
Oki is charged with second-degree possession of a forged instrument; Heurtelou is charged with five counts of second-degree possession of a forged instrument.
Oki made a purchase at the store with a re-encoded card, and Heurtelou was found to be in possession of four American Express gift cards and a MasterCard, all of which had been re-encoded, police said.
Arraigned Friday in First District Court in Hempstead, Oki's bail was set at $25,000 cash or bond, and Heurtelou's bail was set at $7,500 cash or bond. Both are due back in court March 11.
