Cops: Two charged with making fraudulent purchases at Massapequa mall

Two Baldwin men were arrested and charged with using a stolen credit card to fraudulently purchase nearly $2,000 worth of merchandise from two stores at the Westfield Sunrise Mall in East Massapequa on Sunday, police said.

Terrell Fuller, 24, of 3192 Grand Ave., and Daiyquan Webb, 24, of 3476 Milburn Ave., were each charged with criminal possession of stolen property, identity theft and second-degree forgery, Nassau County Police said. Fuller was additionally charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, while Webb also was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, police said.

Police said two officers on patrol spotted the men in the Sunrise Highway shopping mall parking lot just before 5:30 p.m. Sunday and thought they were acting suspiciously. During questioning, the officers learned the two had used the stolen card to make more than $1,900 worth of purchases from Walmart and Champs, police said.

Both were arraigned Monday, and bail for each was set at $2,500. Fuller was represented by Legal Aid, which does not comment on cases.

Webb's attorney could not be immediately reached Monday afternoon.
