A Hewlett bank was robbed Tuesday by two masked gunmen, Nassau police said.

The pair entered the Roslyn Savings Bank at 1280 Broadway at 3:55 p.m. and ordered the nine people there, all bank employees, to get down on the floor, police said.

The gunmen, who were both armed with handguns and wore black and white masks, took an unspecified amount of money from the bank, and then fled in an unknown direction, police said.

No one was seriously injured, police said, although Mace was sprayed in the face of one bank employee, who was later treated at the scene.

One suspect, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, was wearing a tan, three-quarter-length jacket and dark pants, police said. The other, about 6 feet tall, was wearing a black hooded jacket with a silver stripe on the hood, blue jeans and white sneakers.

Detectives asked that anyone with information call CrimeStoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
