Two Valley Stream men were arrested Friday night on charges of robbing a cellphone from a man near Sunrise Highway in the village, Nassau police said.

A 17-year-old male was walking north on Boden Avenue near Merrick Court when he was accosted by two males at 8:20 p.m., police said. Umar Adam, 19, punched the victim from behind, police said. When the victim turned around, Adam punched him repeatedly in the face, police said. Then, Dimario Williams, 17, grabbed a BlackBerry cellphone out of the victim's hand and the assailants walked away, police said. The victim did not require immediate medical attention.

Adam and Williams were charged with second-degree robbery.
