Two men were arrested Sunday afternoon in Lynbrook after being spotted installing a device meant to capture customers' debit card information from a bank ATM, Nassau police said.

Dan Florian Rus, 40, and Dorel Nicolae Sabo, 36, were observed installing the "electronic skimming device" on an ATM at the HSBC Bank at 15 Atlantic Ave. about 1:20 p.m., police said.

The men, for whom police provided no address information, were each charged with criminal possession of forgery devices, and are expected to be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.

Nassau police's Crimes Against Property Squad, 4th Squad and the Lynbrook Police Department participated in the investigation that led to the arrests. No further information was released Sunday.
