Officers responding to a report of an armed robbery early Wednesday at a Uniondale home arrested three Brooklyn men after conducting a traffic stop on the fleeing vehicle, police said.

Reese Wooten, 19, Jerome Dews, 19, and Devin Mayo, 21, all of 316 Atlantic Ave., Brooklyn, each was arrested and charged with two counts of second-degree robbery and first-degree burglary, Nassau County police said.

Police said First Precinct officers responded to a 911 call at 1:18 a.m., reporting that the trio had fled the scene of a residential armed robbery on Lenox Avenue in a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser. Officers found the vehicle on Hempstead Turnpike near Uniondale Avenue -- and made the arrests there.

Police said Wooten and Dews entered the house after pointing a pistol at a 19-year-old resident who answered the door, then proceeded to ransack the teen's room -- stealing a MacBook and an Xbox 360.

The two then fled in the car, driven by Mayo, police said.

The robbery victim was unharmed. Police did not say if the home was targeted.

All three defendants face arraignment Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.
