Cops: 3 Baldwin residents robbed Freeport AutoZone
An AutoZone vehicle parts store in Freeport was robbed Friday night by three Baldwin residents, including a clerk at the store, Nassau County police said.
Dylan Rivera, 18, and Akil Brown, 16, entered the store at 55 E. Merrick Rd. before 9 p.m. yesterday, displayed a BB gun and demanded money from a store manager, police said.
The manager was hit in the head during the holdup, police said. He was treated for a laceration at the scene.
Rivera and Brown fled the store with an unspecified amount of cash, but were arrested by Freeport Village police shortly afterward at a parking lot across the street from the store, police said.
Messiah Miguel, 18, a store clerk, was also arrested in connection with the robbery.
Rivera, Brown and Miguel were each charged with one count of first-degree robbery and three counts of second-degree robbery. They were scheduled to be arraigned Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead.
