Cops: 3 from sewage plant sent to hospital
Three people were taken to the hospital after a "hazmat incident" Wednesday morning at the Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant in East Rockaway, according to Nassau County police.
The call came in at midmorning, said a police spokeswoman, who had no further information on the incident or condition of those taken to the hospital.
According to the Nassau County website, the plant is under the jurisdiction of its Department of Public Works.
