Officers responding to a 911 call reporting a street robbery Monday in New Cassel arrested four men, including one with an open warrant, police said.

The robbery took place near the intersection of Roman Avenue and Wright Street at 2:25 p.m., Nassau County police said. Police said the 18-year-old victim told them the four men "repeatedly struck" him, stealing cash before fleeing toward a white car with out-of-state plates.

Third Precinct officers saw the four suspects exiting the vehicle and arrested three of them.

The fourth man was caught a short time later, following a brief chase, police said.

Kareem Turner, 19, of 23 Lincoln Ct., Coram; Charles Brown, 17, of 642 Broadway, Westbury; Shane Livingston, 22, of 21 Erna Dr.; Coram; and Gahfad Leflore, 19, of 240 Baldwin Rd., Hempstead, were each charged with two counts of second-degree robbery and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, police said.

Additionally, police said, Leflore was charged with resisting arrest. He also was found to have an open Nassau County warrant for fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, possession of burglary tools, resisting arrest and numerous vehicle and traffic law violations, police said.

All four are scheduled for arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
