Four people were injured, including a child, in an accident involving an unmarked Nassau County police vehicle in Franklin Square late Thursday morning, police said.

The crash occurred at 11:25 a.m. near the intersection of Franklin and Corona avenues, police said. The cause of the crash is under investigation and traffic is being diverted in the area for cleanup, police said.

None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening and the the age of the child was not known, police said.

The injured were being taken to area hospitals.
