Cops: 7-Eleven in Westbury robbed
He robbed a 7-Eleven in Westbury at gunpoint early Thursday, police said.
Now Nassau County police are searching for the man who robbed the store on Old Country Road -- then fled on foot.
The incident occurred at 4:40 a.m. Thursday, police said. It was not clear how much cash was taken. Police said the robber was armed with a silver handgun. They said no one was injured, but the man fled on foot northbound on Carlton Street.
The man is described as having a medium-to-heavy build and was wearing black sweat pants, a black hoodie and a black mask. Police are asking anyone with information regarding the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
