Cops: Westbound Hempstead Turnpike reopens after crash

The westbound lanes of Hempstead Turnpike in Farmingdale were closed for about an hour Tuesday morning after a vehicular accident, Nassau County police said.

The lanes were closed in the area of Merritts Road after the accident was reported at 7:43 a.m., a police spokesman said.

The lanes were reopened as of 9:10 a.m., the department said.
