Cops: Animal sitter burglarized Plainview home
A Plainview woman was arrested Monday and charged with stealing two laptop computers, jewelry and other valuables from a home where she worked as an animal sitter, police said.
Lauren B. Azie, 23, of 23 Theodore Dr., was awaiting arraignment on grand larceny and related charges, Nassau County police said.
She had been working for the animal owner for about 10 days when she staged a burglary at the home on Northern Parkway in Plainview on Nov. 2, police. She sold some of the jewelry at a pawnshop in Hicksville the next day, police said.
