Police are looking for a man armed with a black handgun who robbed a Plainview bank Saturday morning.

Nassau County police said the man went to the Bank of America located at 565 South Oyster Bay Rd. and presented a note to a female teller, demanding cash. The teller gave the man an unknown amount of money and he fled on foot northbound on South Oyster Bay Road about 9:05 a.m., police said.

Police described the man as 40 years old, 5-foot-10, medium build, wearing a green baseball cap with the word "OPUS" displayed across the front, black sunglasses, a red zippered sweatshirt and tan pants.

Five people were in the bank during the robbery and no injuries were reported, police said.
