Two men robbed a Lynbrook tobacco shop Wednesday evening, stealing cash and lottery tickets, police said.

The lone employee of the store, identified only as a 54-year-old woman, was not injured in the armed robbery, Nassau County police said.

The robbery took place at Smokers Choice on Sunrise Highway at about 6:15 p.m.

Police said two men, both believed to be in their 20s, entered the store. One had a handgun and demanded cash.

In addition to the cash and lottery tickets, police said the woman surrendered personal property, as well. It was not clear how much was taken.

Police said the gun-wielding suspect was about 5-foot-7, thin, and wore sunglasses and a mask. The other suspect was about 5-foot-2 with a stocky build. He wore a brown sweatshirt, according to police.

Police are asking anyone with information about the armed robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
