Cops arrest 3 near burglarized business
Three Westbury men were arrested Wednesday two blocks from the site of a New Cassel business that had been burglarized, police said.
Anthony Miles, 21, and Abraham Platero, 18, both of 209 Costar St., and Isiah Johnson, 19, of 212 Urban Ave., were charged with burglary and grand larceny in Wednesday's incident, Nassau police said.
The three men broke into a locked trailer at Loni-Joe Scrap Metal, 70 Kinkel St., about 2 a.m., and removed $1,000 worth of small metal motors, police said.
Miles was also charged with burglary and larceny in a similar incident at the same business Saturday, police said. Small metal motors, valued in excess of $1,500, were also stolen in that Saturday burglary, police said.
