A Baldwin man faces forgery charges after Nassau County police said they found him early Friday with fake debit and gift cards.

Second Squad detectives said that Farnell Florestal, 25, of 824 Barth Dr., had 15 fraudulent American Express and Visa debit/gift cards when he was stopped about 12:15 a.m. for a traffic infraction on Hempstead Turnpike near Center Lane in Levittown.

Police said he was arrested without incident.

He is charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument, two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property, fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and a traffic law infraction.

Florestal was arraigned Friday and held on a bail of $2,500 cash or bond.
