Nassau County police are searching for a man whose robbery of an Oceanside bank Wednesday morning is believed to be his third in two weeks.

Robbery detectives said at about 9:48 a.m. a man in large oval glasses wearing a blue fisherman's hat gave a note to a teller at the Wachovia Bank, 3584 Long Beach Rd., saying he had a gun.

After getting an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot, police said.

Six employees and three customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery, police said. There were no injuries.

Police said they think the man also robbed a Bank of America branch in Massapequa Park on May 27 and a Citibank branch in Hicksville on June 1.

Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
