An Island Park man was arrested after police said he stole a floating dock in North Long Beach by towing it with his boat.

Donald D. Mann, 60, of 82 Suffolk Rd., removed the 10-foot-by-24-foot dock, secured to a piling, from the rear of a Pettit Place address, Nassau County police said Monday.

Mann, who did not have the authority to take the dock, towed it away, police said.

He was arrested Sunday and charged with third-degree grand larceny, authorities said.

Mann was released on his own recognizance following his arraignment Monday in First District Court in Hempstead. He is scheduled to return to court May 23. Online court records did not identify an attorney.
