Cops: Boy, 3, hurt in East Meadow crash
A 3-year-old boy remained hospitalized Monday with undisclosed injuries after an auto accident that closed Newbridge Road in East Meadow for hours Sunday evening, police said.
The child was hospitalized with a nonlife-threatening head injury.
The driver was issued a summons for using an improper child restraint seat.
Nassau County police said the cause of the accident is under investigation.
The crash occurred at 6:50 p.m. near the intersection of North Newbridge Road and Salisbury Park Drive. Newbridge was closed southbound between Levittown Parkway and the Wantagh Parkway.
