A Rockville Centre woman faces a burglary charge after Nassau County police said they found her inside a Levittown home early Thursday, walking down a stairway.

A neighbor called police at about 1:50 a.m., telling them a woman was on the roof of a home on Flamingo Road.

When police arrived at the home, they saw the woman inside a second-floor bedroom.

Officers were able to awaken the homeowner, a man, 84, enter the home and then arrest the suspect when she walked down the stairway, police said.

Tarrah Gore, 23, of 40 Maine Ave., faces charges of second-degree burglary and is scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
