A Hicksville man found Thursday with stolen goods in a Waldbaum's supermarket bathroom in Garden City Park was arrested on three counts of second-degree burglary, Nassau County police said.

Steven Wohnsigl, 49, burglarized residences on Birchwood Drive and Morris Drive in Garden City Park and on Betty Road in Garden City, police said.

After responding to a suspicious-person call at 12:56 p.m., detectives investigated an alarm at a Birchwood Drive residence, finding an open rear door and window, police said. A canvass of the area led police to Wohnsigl, also in possession of several small bags of marijuana, in the bathroom of Waldbaum's at 2475 Jericho Tpke., according to police.

Also charged with parole violation for a previous burglary, Wohnsigl is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
