Cops: Cashier at Valley Stream store stole gift cards
A Target cashier faces a grand larceny charge after she stole gift cards worth more than $13,000, police said.
Kenisha Cupid, 18, was employed as a cashier at the store at 500 W. Sunrise Hwy. in Valley Stream when she "processed and loaded the gift cards at her register" between April 25 and May 13, Nassau police said in a Wednesday news release.
Cupid, of 219-11 143rd Rd., Springfield Gardens, was arrested Wednesday afternoon and charged with third-degree grand larceny and first-degree falsifying business records, police said.
She will be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
