Cops: Client stole cash from prostitutes
A Queens man was arrested Tuesday after he engaged prostitutes in Nassau on two separate occasions in 2009 and 2010 then took money from them after claiming to be an officer with the New York City Department of Correction, police said.
Oumar Lougue, 40, of 94th Street in Elmhurst, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and first-degree criminal impersonation after an investigation into the incidents, Nassau County police said in a Wednesday morning news release.
Police said that on Dec. 12, 2009, in Jericho and then again on Oct. 1, 2010, in Plainview, Lougue "engaged prostitutes in sexual intercourse for money" and "impersonated himself as a police officer."
Lougue showed the victims a Department of Correction badge and "took the agreed upon amounts of money back from his victims," stating he would not arrest them, police said.
Lougue is scheduled for arraignment Wednesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
