Cops: Counselor at Uniondale sober home forcibly touched 2 men

A sober home counselor was arrested and charged Saturday for forcibly touching two men in a sexual manner, police said.
Joseph Wood, 73, of Jackson Avenue in Mineola, "came into contact" with two men, ages 31 and 21, Nassau police said. On Sept. 27 and Oct. 6, Wood was alone with one of the men, whom he began to hug and then forcibly touched the victim in a sexual manner in the sober home in Uniondale, police said.
Wood was arraigned on two counts of forcible touching in First District Court in Hempstead. He was granted a conditional release to probation and is due back in court on Nov. 25, according to online court records.
