The 18-year-old driver of a car involved in a single-car accident that injured three Monday morning in Garden City has been charged with driving while intoxicated, police said.

Mohammad Siddiqui of West Hempstead lost control of a Mitsubishi that jumped a curb and struck a tree at about 2:15 a.m. on Cherry Valley Avenue near Cambridge Avenue, Garden City police said.

Siddiqui and two passengers, both male, were taken to Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola, police said.

The identities of the passengers were not released. The conditions of both were not immediately known.

Siddiqui is scheduled for arraignment in First District Court in Hempstead, police said.
