An Amityville man was arrested on drunken driving and drug charges Friday night after being stopped for an unsafe lane change on the Southern State Parkway, State Police said.

Sixto Interiano, 24, of 15 Commerce Blvd., was driving east on the parkway near Exit 30 in Massapequa when he changed lanes unsafely, police said.

While interviewing Interiano, the trooper noticed a strong odor of alcohol.

Interiano was charged with driving while intoxicated and police said they also found a small amount of cocaine in his rear pocket.

Interiano, who recorded a breath-analyzer test of .07 percent, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated and several vehicle and traffic violations, police said.

He is scheduled to appear at First District Court in Hempstead on May 23.
