Nassau Police on Sunday arrested an Elmont man wanted in a March assault at an Island Park motel.

Harry Summers, 27, of 115-97 Parkway Dr., faces charges of second-degree robbery and second-degree assault in connection with the attack on a 19-year-old woman at the Plantation Motor Inn, 4040 Long Beach Rd.

Police said Summers argued with the woman, then punched her in the face and head several times before slamming her head against a motel room wall. He then stole her purse and fled on foot.

Police arrested Summers at his home Sunday. He is to be arraigned Monday at First District Court in Hempstead.
