An Elmont woman found to have a stash of drugs and cash at her home was arrested Friday morning for selling heroin, police said.

Nassau police said Maria A. Garcia, 55, sold the drugs on several occasions in the Elmont area, and was arrested on Meacham Avenue and News Avenue about 11:30 a.m.

A search warrant was executed at Garcia's home, and authorities found undisclosed amounts of heroin, crack cocaine, cocaine and pills along with drug paraphernalia and more than $1,200 in cash.

Garcia, of 1361 Star Ave., is charged with seven counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance and seven counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. She is scheduled to be arraigned Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.

Police said Garcia will be charged later with the evidence recovered at her home during the execution of the search warrant.
