A 17-year-old man who had been expelled from Uniondale High School was arrested Thursday after entering the school Monday and striking a male security guard who had repeatedly told him to leave, Nassau County police said.

Kevin Allen of Uniondale was arrested without incident at 3:10 p.m. at Chester and Goodrich streets, Uniondale, police said.

Allen, who had been prohibited from being on school grounds, struck the 79-year-old guard in the back of his head "and pushed him to the ground," police said. The guard required medical attention and was treated for neck pain and swelling of his legs, police said.

Allen, charged with two counts of second degree assault, second-degree burglary and third degree criminal trespass, was scheduled to be arraigned Friday at First District Court, Hempstead.
