A Franklin Square bank was robbed Wednesday by a man who handed a teller a note demanding money, police said.

The teller at the Ridgewood Savings Bank, 1010 Hempstead Tpke., surrendered the money, Nassau police said, and the robber left the bank and headed north on foot on Pacific Street.

Ten employees and three customers were in the bank at about 10:37 a.m., at the time of the robbery, police said. No one was reported injured, police said.

The robber was 18 to 20 years old, and 5 feet, 9 inches tall, police said, and was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark gloves.

Detectives asked that anyone with information contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS.
