A Freeport man was arrested Sunday and charged with an October residential burglary in Freeport that police said was captured on a video surveillance system.

A second man is still being sought, police said.

Nassau County police said Juan Plasencia, 23, of 204 Church St., was arrested at his home at about 4:30 p.m.

He was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary in the thefts at the Southside Avenue home on Oct. 18.

Police said Plasencia and another man entered the home just before 10:30 p.m., stealing a laptop computer, two watches and diamond earrings. The two then returned at about 11 p.m. and attempted to steal a flat-screen TV -- but left empty-handed, police said.

The burglaries were captured by surveillance video.

Police said Plasencia knew the victim.
