Nassau County police are looking for two males who robbed a gas station convenience store at gunpoint in Roosevelt on Monday night.
First Squad detectives said two males, one with a gun, who were wearing masks entered the USA Food Mart at 284 W. Centennial Ave. at 10:58 p.m. Monday. One male suspect threw a male clerk, 42, to the floor and took his cellphone and an unknown amount of cash, police said, and the second suspect, armed with a black handgun, demanded that a second male clerk, 21, open the cash register and hand over cash. Police said the second robber also stole the clerk's cellphone.
Both suspects then ran north on North Brookside Avenue, police said, and no injuries were reported.
Detectives ask anyone with information about the robbery to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
