Cops: Hempstead man arrested for gunfire
A Hempstead man was arrested after he pulled out a revolver and fired two shots during a fight Friday night, police said.
Nassau County police said Dennis Wolfolk, 19, was involved in a fight with two unknown males in front of 101 N. Franklin Ave., when he fired the gun. Hempstead police officers responded after hearing the shots and found Wolfolk nearby. The gun was recovered and no injuries were reported, police said. He was arrested at 9:18 p.m.
Police said Wolfolk was charged with criminal possession of a weapon second degree and reckless endangerment first degree. He was to be arraigned Sunday in Hempstead.
