Cops: Hempstead man sold crack, cocaine
A 33-year-old Hempstead man was arrested Monday, charged with selling crack and powdered cocaine on two separate occasions last year.
Nassau County police said Rueben Phillips, of 21 St. Paul's Rd. S., was arrested by narcotics detectives and charged with two counts of first-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
He is scheduled for arraignment Tuesday in First District Court in Hempstead.
Police said the incidents took place in Hempstead on May 10, 2011, and on Sept. 6, 2011.
