A Hewlett teen was arrested, charged with attempted robbery and a slew of other charges after he pointed a pellet gun at the heads of one of his two victims during an altercation, demanding money, and later shot out windows at one of the victim's grandmother's homes, police said.

Jason Shure, 19, of East Rockaway Road, got into a verbal altercation with two other teens, one 18, the other 19, and during that argument pulled out a pellet gun, pointed it one of the victim's heads and demanded money at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Woodsburgh Town Docks in Woodmere, Nassau County police said.

After the victims fled in a car, police said, Shure drove to the house belonging to the grandmother of one of those teens -- and fired three shots, breaking three windows.

The grandmother was inside the home, police said.

She was not injured.

Police said a witness saw Shure toss the gun into some shrubs and said officers recovered the gun at the scene.

Shure was charged with second-degree attempted robbery, second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree reckless endangerment and fourth-degree possession of a dangerous weapon. He is scheduled for arraignment Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.
