Cops: Hicksville card store robbed
A Hicksville greeting card store was robbed Monday afternoon by a man armed with a stun gun, police said.
The man approached the store counter of the 50% Off Card Store, 416 South Oyster Bay Rd., at 3:12 p.m., police said, and demanded that the cashier hand over the money.
The robber removed an unspecified amount of money from the cash register, and left the store, Nassau police said.
He was dressed in a gray hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants and sunglasses, and was about 45 years old, 5 feet, 7 inches tall, and weighed about 160 pounds, police said.
