Cops investigate Inwood armed robbery
Nassau police are investigating an armed robbery late Wednesday of two pedestrians in Inwood.
The male victims, ages 15 and 20, were walking on Wanser Avenue at 10:18 p.m. when an unknown male approached them from behind who displayed a handgun and "demanded the victims' property," Nassau County police said in a Thursday news release.
The robber, about 20 years old, 6 feet, 1 inch tall, and wearing a red baseball hat and blue denim jacket, took two cell phones and cash before fleeing westbound, police said.
Anyone with information is urged to anonymously call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
