A woman delivering Chinese food was robbed at knifepoint outside a home in Uniondale Sunday night, police said.

The woman, described only as being 35 years old, was not injured.

The armed robbery occurred outside a home on Fenimore Avenue just before 9 p.m. Nassau County police said they are searching for a man in his 30s, about 5-foot-10 and wearing a black T-shirt, who stole an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police said the man fled east on Cedar Street.

Police said the woman had attempted to deliver food to the house, but said the homeowner told her no food order had been placed. When the woman returned to her car, police said the robber approached, armed with "a large hunting knife" and demanded money.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
