A 42-year-old Inwood man who was arrested after being caught on a surveillance camera burglarizing the storeroom of a Cedarhurst restaurant was later connected to the theft of two high-end bicycles over the summer, police said.

James R. Isom, of 255 Lawrence Ave., was arrested at the Lawrence station of the Long Island Rail Road at 12:15 a.m. Monday and charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree grand larceny, Nassau County police said.

The stolen items have not been recovered.

Police said that Isom was observed on video entering the storage area of the Wok Tov restaurant on Central Avenue early Saturday, stealing three cases of chafing dish fuel and two bottles of soda.

A subsequent investigation linked Isom to the theft of two Trek bicycles from the backyard of a home on Forest Avenue in Woodmere on June 29, police said. Police did not immediately say what evidence linked Isom to those thefts.

Isom is scheduled for arraignment Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.
