Cops: Knife-wielding man robs Valley Stream liquor store
Nassau County police are looking for a masked man who on Tuesday robbed a Valley Stream liquor store.
The suspect got away with an unspecified amount of cash after entering North Central Liquor at 339 N. Central Ave. at about 8:24 p.m., police said.
He displayed a large kitchen knife and demanded that the store's clerk open the cash register, police said.
When the clerk opened the register, the suspect took a drawer with cash and then fled.
The suspect was last seen on foot, heading eastbound on Hendrickson Avenue, police said in a news release.
No injuries were reported.
