Cops: Levittown teen said he would 'shoot up' high school
A 17-year-old from Levittown was arrested Thursday morning and charged with making “terroristic threats” after graffiti was found last month threatening to “shoot up” MacArthur High School.
Nassau County police said Anthony Larosa was arrested at the Eighth Precinct in Levittown at 12:20 a.m. for the graffiti incident discovered Oct. 13.
That graffiti, police said, was reported by the MacArthur assitant principal after it was discovered on bleachers at the nearby Town of Hempstead Park on Wildwood Drive and Sand Hill Road in Levittown.
Police said the graffiti read: “I am going to shoot up MacArthur on Friday 10/15/10.” The person who wrote the message added: “This is not a joke.”
Police did not say what led them to Larosa. Police also could not say if Larosa was a student at the school.
He was charged with making a terroristic threat, third-degree criminal mischief and making graffiti. He is scheduled for arraignment Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.
