Cops looking for armed robber in Cedarhurst

Nassau County police are searching for an armed robber who stole cash from a Cedarhurst grocery store early Monday morning then fled in a cream-colored Ford Explorer.

The robbery took place at a store on Rockaway Turnpike at about 5:20 a.m., police said.

Police said the robber, who was armed with a handgun, wore a gray hooded sweatshirt and fled with an unknown amount of cash. No one was injured in the robbery.
